I was an ISR controller, which means that I developed the collection plan for our various UAVs and then watched the feeds while the crews flew them. Link-analysis and targeting is actually really fun, although I didn't get to do that much. Overseas is where we actually get to do our job. Occasionally our S2 will get tired of us all sitting around after the easy stuff gets done, and will give us projects like country studies, conflict research, TTP development, etc. Personnel Security (security clearances, investigations), Physical Security (arms Rooms, vaults, SIPR drops) and Informational Security (handling and control of classified info) is the name of the game for us. I do have a TS already.Īny 35F or other intel series AGR soldiers that can give me any insight to the job? I like being an 88M but can’t get a deployment to save my life, my friends in MI have deployed several times so that makes it appealing. 35F is the MOS I originally enlisted as but after speaking with 35F cadre at BCT I changed my MOS after BCT (was split op) and picked another one.ģ5F was explained to me as basically giving PowerPoint briefs to ranks that I would normally try to avoid interacting with. PSG calls me and asks me to apply for a 35F AGR position.
